The name was not chosen by accident. Tekimu is a word built from two Swahili pillars — Teknolojia, meaning technology, and Elimu, meaning education. Put them together and you get the entire philosophy of this company in a single word. Technology. Education. It started with a conversation — the kind that happens late at night when people who care deeply about a problem stop complaining and start building. Two directors sat with a question that refused to leave them alone: why is Africa, with the youngest and fastest-growing population on Earth, still importing talent and exporting opportunity? The continent was producing graduates who could not find work, and companies that could not find skilled people. Something was fundamentally broken — and it was not the people. It was the system.
